How to create an Apple Wallet pass

Design an Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass in WalletPush Pass Designer. Add fields, images, placeholders, save the template, then enroll members.

Open Pass Designer (/business/pass-designer) in the business sidebar.

A template is the pass design. Members each get their own pass from that template. Values shown on the phone are the ones last saved onto that pass (at enroll, then whenever you send a push or an automation runs).

Steps

  1. Open Pass Designer.
  2. Pick or create a template (loyalty, coupon, event, generic, boarding pass, store card).
  3. Set colors, logo, icon, and strip / thumbnail images. Apple and Google have different image sizes — upload what the designer asks for.
  4. Add front fields (header, primary, secondary, auxiliary) and back-of-pass fields.
  5. Use placeholders such as ${Points}, ${First_Name}, ${Current_Offer}, and ${Push_notification} so each member’s pass can update later.
  6. Switch to the Google Wallet design tab (Poster Generic) and confirm the Android preview. Field values stay in sync with the Apple template.
  7. Save the template.

After you save

  • Put the pass on a landing page so people can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
  • Send updates from Send a Push or an automation.
  • The logged-in AI Assistant can create the template record. Visual layout still happens in Pass Designer.

Do not

  • Do not put API keys, passwords, or internal IDs on the pass face.
  • Do not expect the pass to “live-read” your members table. The phone shows what was last written to the pass, then pushed.
